Responsibilities
As a Legal Billing Assistant, your primary duties will include:
1. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of legal invoices in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures.
2. Utilizing Aderant to manage, track, and analyze billing information.
3. Preparing and submitting e-bills to various clients and addressing any related issues.
4. Coordinating with attorneys and other staff to resolve billing-related discrepancies.
5. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
6. Maintaining up-to-date billing records and ensuring confidentiality of financial information.
7. Participating in the review and update of billing procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Providing exceptional customer service to clients, addressing and resolving any billing inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal billing within a law firm environment.
2. Proficiency in Aderant or a similar legal billing software.
3. Demonstrated experience with e-billing procedures.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
8. High level of professionalism and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
9. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
