Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to our legal team, including filing, scheduling, and correspondence.
2. Prepare and file documents in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
3. Proofread, format, and prepare pleadings and other legal documents.
4. Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court dates.
5. Act as a primary point of contact for court and administrative scheduling issues.
6. Maintain the firm's master calendar to ensure all deadlines and appointments are met.
7. Prepare and send out correspondence to clients, courts, and other legal professionals.
8. Enter and manage billing information, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
9. Utilize MS Office software to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within the legal industry.
2. Proven experience with legal administration, including filing in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
3. Demonstrated ability to prepare, proofread, and format pleadings and other legal documents.
4. Excellent scheduling skills, with the ability to manage the firm's master calendar and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court dates.
5. Experience acting as a primary court point of contact for administrative scheduling issues.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and send out professional correspondence.
7. Proven experience with billing and record-keeping.
8. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
