We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Consulting Legal Assistant to join our team. This role presents a unique opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to our fast-paced, innovative legal department. The Consulting Legal Assistant will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney.

Responsibilities:

Preparing, proofreading, and formatting complex legal documents to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Conducting legal research and preparing reports to assist attorneys in determining legal precedents.
Managing case files by organizing and tracking all important documents, letters, and legal papers using case management software.
Utilizing legal coding to categorize and prioritize documents for easy retrieval and reference.
Operating LexisNexis for legal research and other software for legal document preparation.
Assisting in ensuring legal compliance across various departments by developing and implementing compliance programs.
Communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, and court officials, both verbally and in writing.
Providing support to attorneys in trial preparation by preparing case briefs and legal arguments.
Coordinating and scheduling meetings, court dates, and deadlines.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Proficiency in using legal software such as LexisNexis and legal case management systems.
Strong knowledge of legal documentation, legal compliance, legal writing, and legal support services.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Familiarity with legal coding and the ability to use it effectively to organize and categorize documents.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
