About the Job
Responsibilities:
Organize, maintain, and manage legal documents, including case files, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate filing in NY, NJ, and Federal Courts.
Assist in preparing legal documents, such as briefs, motions, and discovery requests, and coordinate filings in both state and federal courts.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as directed, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, hearings, and court dates, ensuring attorneys are reminded of upcoming deadlines and appearances.
Provide general administrative support, including drafting correspondence, answering phones, and managing emails. Direct inquiries and calls to the appropriate parties.
Oversee office operations, including coordinating office supplies and equipment, and collaborate with headquarters to facilitate necessary orders.
Manage attorneys’ calendars, appointments, and meetings.
Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a legal environment.
Litigation experience
Bachelor’s degree in legal studies or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn other applications.
Experience with Best Authority software for creating tables of authorities.
Experience with e-filing in State (NJ/NY) and Federal courts.
Familiarity with NetDocuments or similar document management systems.
Experience with SurePoint or similar billing software.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently.
Professional communication skills.
