Our focus is set on representing individuals who have sustained personal injuries as a result of automobile and/or work accidents. We also provide legal services for those who have been charged with a criminal offense or received traffic citations. Paralegal experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant:

• Assist attorney and other legal assistants/paralegals with ongoing litigation support
• Maintain verbal and written communication with Spanish speaking clientele on a daily basis
• Correspond with insurance companies, healthcare providers, courts, and other parties affiliated with client cases
• Keep track of client medical treatment and coordinates with attorney and paralegals to ensure case progress
• Assist with the writing of various legal documents
• Conduct telephone and in-person intake
• Open and maintain electronic and paper case files
• Maintain attorney agenda and work with an office diary system
• Coordinate/schedule depositions and meetings
• Aid in obtaining medical records and billing information
• Answer multi-line telephone system
• Post on social media and monitor incoming messages

Qualifications for the Legal Assistant:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or an Associate’s degree with 2 years minimum relevant experience
• MUST be able to read, write and speak Spanish and English
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Desire to learn and willingness to perform any additional tasks assigned
• Paralegal Certificate preferred
• Prior law firm experience is a plus
