About the Job
We are a boutique law firm in Oakland, California with a dynamic and interesting federal white collar, antitrust, and civil practice. We seek a motivated and detail-oriented candidate with strong problem-solving skills who works well both independently and with others.
The position requires the following:
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to meet critical deadlines;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat;
- Familiarity with federal and state rules and filing procedures, including e-filing;
- Ability to precisely and carefully handle federal and state court filings and correspondence;
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and make timely decisions about prioritization;
- Familiarity with eDiscovery software (Relativity, etc.) as user and administrator.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Administrative tasks such as photocopying, processing mail, maintain supplies, billing, scheduling and travel arrangements;
- Maintain hard copy and electronic document files, including archiving and coordination of offsite file storage;
- Maintain attorney calendars;
- Draft engagement letters;
- Create and format pleading documents and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, including cite checking and proofreading;
- Review and organize eDiscovery;
- Prepare document productions;
- Attend and document meetings;
- Other duties to be assigned.

Salary: $72,000 to $82,000 depending on experience
