Legal Assistant - Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a national law firm client that is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their office located in Nashville, TN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to attorneys
• Draft and edit legal documents and correspondence with a focus on accuracy and completeness
• Manage deadlines and key dates, ensuring proper calendaring
• Communicate with clients and contacts regarding meeting schedules and other arrangements
• Answer phone calls, handle routine inquiries, or direct calls to the appropriate attorney or staff member
• Research and respond to information requests from attorneys and clients
• Organize and maintain both physical and electronic files and documents
• Enter and review attorney time entries, ensuring accuracy on timesheets
• Organize and process client billing promptly
• Coordinate business travel arrangements for attorneys
• Perform conflict of interest checks and create new client files
• Prepare engagement letters and conflict waivers
• Process expense reports and reimbursement requests
• Assist attorneys with CLE compliance and business development activities
• Handle additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of legal assistant experience in a law firm
• Prior transactional experience is required; construction law experience is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Expertise in preparing and managing PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat
• Solid understanding of document management systems; experience with NetDocs is a plus
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong proofreading skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a professional demeanor
• High level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
