Talis Groups’ client a Louisville law firm located downtown, seeks a Litigation Legal Secretary. Full benefits package available such as Health, Life, Dental, and Vision insurance as well as Health Savings Account, 401k, merit bonuses and money toward parking. Salary range is $50,000-$58,000
Highlighted Duties:
Support two attorneys in insurance defense, medical malpractice, liability defense and other similar litigation.
Document drafting; motions, pleadings, memos, and other legal correspondence.
Scheduling; manage calendars for attorneys, keeping track of court deadlines, appearances, meetings, mediations, depositions and more.
Electronic filing with state and federal court system.
Act as backup and fill in for other secretaries as needed.

Professional demeanor and communication skills.
Ability to grasp office procedures, best practices and processes.
Strong skills using MS Word
Attention to detail, must strive towards high level of accuracy in work product.
Prior legal secretary experience in civil litigation required and the ability to support more than one attorney.
