About the Job
- Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts.
- Strong Word skills to prepare documents for court, including TOA and TOC.
Assist attorneys in preparing discovery documents and formatting documents.
Managing litigation deadlines and calendaring, with understanding of deadlines.
- Inputting and tracking calendar entries in deadline management software and Outlook.
- Process daily incoming and outgoing mail, e-faxes, and electronic notifications.
- Coordinate with attorneys’ services and overnight couriers to file and serve documents.
- Scanning and managing documents.
- Assist with document management and file organization, and e-filing documents.
- Serving documents.
- Assist attorneys and staff with daily administrative tasks.
Position Requirements:
- 4 years' litigation experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be a self-starter who is well organized and can handle multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail
- Capable of taking ownership and retaining accountability for tasks
- Professional appearance and demeanor
