We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Legal Assistant with a background in litigation, specifically in Landlord/Tenant law. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience and will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal team in managing a variety of landlord/tenant disputes. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging cases and make a significant impact in a dynamic legal environment.
Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in the management of landlord/tenant litigation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting and editing legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence. Coordinate and organize case files, ensuring all documents and evidence are accurately maintained and readily accessible. Conduct legal research on landlord/tenant laws and regulations. Compile relevant information for use in court proceedings and case strategy. Prepare and organize trial exhibits, evidence, and documentation. Assist in the preparation of trials, hearings, and other court appearances. Coordinate and schedule court dates and appointments as needed. Maintain professional and prompt communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Facilitate document exchanges and information requests as required.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on Landlord/Tenant law. Strong knowledge of landlord/tenant laws and regulations. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
