We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to make a significant impact within a reputable legal firm. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in legal assistance. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity within the legal industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our legal team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assisting with the preparation and review of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Managing attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, and ensuring all deadlines are met.
3. Coordinating with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals as required.
4. Conducting legal research and compiling information as directed by attorneys.
5. Drafting correspondence and legal paperwork such as court petitions and pleadings.
6. Maintaining and organizing legal files, ensuring that all relevant information is easily accessible.
7. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
8. Providing any additional administrative support as required, such as answering phones, managing mail, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within the legal industry.
2. Proficient in Calendar Management and scheduling.
3. Excellent knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal protocols.
4. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
9. A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
