Job Description
The Legal Assistant - Floater will provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys as needed, with responsibilities including:
- Organizing and maintaining legal files and documents
- Managing data entry and file management tasks
- Preparing legal documents and discovery shells
- E-filing documents with state and federal courts
- Scheduling meetings and managing attorney calendars
- Utilizing document management systems to store and retrieve files
- Reviewing and proofreading legal documents for accuracy
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in civil litigation
- Knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, local rules, and e-filing requirements
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Attention to detail for proofreading and reviewing legal documents
- Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
