Legal Assistant - Tandym

A legal services firm in New Jersey is looking to add a new Legal Assistant to their growing team.

Responsibilities:

The Legal Assistant will:

• Process e-court correspondence
• Attach to electronic system/print for file / eCourts emails
• Update electronic records as relevant
• Distribute internally via email to appropriate attorneys/staff
• Identify document for filing
• Sort for hard copy distribution
• Scan incoming mail / faxes/ FedEx
• Assist with scanning and other tasks
• Organize filed appeals for Billing Department
• Assist with service of filed pleadings

Qualifications:

• 2+ year of experience in a Legal role/setting
• Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
• Working knowledge of Legal terminology
• Computer savvy
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Solid problem solving and time management skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
