Family owned Lauth Investigations International, Inc. is an Indianapolis based private investigation firm with over 30 years of experience in corporate culture audit, attorney and legal services, workplace investigations, and missing persons. We are a Legal Assistant to analyze, research, and review claim(s) for accuracy, completeness, and approval. The ideal candidate for this position will have a vast interest in and experience with legal research or unclaimed property. This role is a full-time in-person/hybrid role and will report to the Lead for the Return Assets Division.

Hiring salary for this role is between $26.50 - $31.25/hour. Final compensation will be based on the successful candidate’s education, skills, and experience.

- Maintaining accurate records of claim information and client communications.
- Communicating clearly, concisely and professionally with clients, colleagues, management, and governmental agencies.
- Performing high-level internet research, identifying relevant resources and analyzing the results to determine the viability of each claim.
- Providing comprehensive case management services to all claimants including intake assessment, weekly client relations development, and progress monitoring of new and pending cases.
- Reporting and serving as liaison on all cases including those requiring in-depth research with outside vendors.
- Monitoring cases by evaluating progress and responses from claimants; obtaining additional resources such as genealogy and heir confirmation to secure the claim.
- Provide administrative operational support to the Lead for the Return Assets Division which may include: answering incoming calls, processing incoming and outgoing mail, filing, light bookkeeping support.
- An independent and disciplined self-starter with a terrific, positive, solution-focused attitude
- The ability to handle multiple cases without sacrificing attention to detail
- A highly organized individual with exceptional time-management skills
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat (with an emphasis on forms)
- CRM experience (a plus)
- A team player
- Tech savvy
- Associate degree (required)
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in either legal or claims processing (required)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Paralegal certificate (preferred)
