Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Community Association practice in Coral Gables, FL.
This full-time, on-site role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in community association and condominium law
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to two lawyers specializing in community association law
- Manage calendars and schedule appointments
- Draft legal documents including letters, meeting packages, amendments, and agreements
- Interact professionally with potential and existing clients
- Process attorney expense reports and register CLE credits with the Florida Bar
- Maintain organized files using document management systems (PerfectLaw DMS)
- Perform legal research when requested
- Ensure timely filing of legal documents
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant, with experience in community association law
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of PerfectLaw DMS
- Bachelor's degree or certification as a legal assistant
- Experience with online court filing systems
