Pay: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, with an end-of-year bonus
About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established legal firm specializing in business law. Known for their dedication to providing high-quality legal services, the firm is seeking a skilled and energetic Legal Assistant to join their team.
Job Description: We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support a team of senior attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a full-time, onsite role with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage legal documents using the firm’s database programs.
- Draft, edit, and format correspondence, legal documents, and forms.
- Handle e-filings via court site portals.
- Maintain real estate tax docket calendars and track filing deadlines.
- Open new client accounts, conduct conflict checks, and manage case documentation.
- Generate invoices and result letters based on attorney instructions.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate client billing.
- Organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with a focus on litigation.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal software (e.g., Perfectlaw, Appeal Tax).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
