We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and who has a passion for legal work. In this role, you will be working closely with our legal team, providing comprehensive administrative and legal support, ensuring the smooth functioning of our office and effective case management.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
2. Drafting legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, and pleadings.
3. Conducting legal research and factual investigation.
4. Managing and organizing case files and documents effectively.
5. Coordinating and scheduling court dates and meetings.
6. Communicating with clients, court officials, and other legal staff in a professional manner.
7. Maintaining and updating databases and tracking systems.
8. Handling confidential information in a sensitive and discreet manner.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree is required. A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Administrative Assistant.
3. Strong knowledge of legal terminologies, procedures, and protocols.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, etc.)
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
8. High level of discretion and ethical standards to handle sensitive and confidential information.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
