Legal Assistant

Fusco Personnel is currently recruiting a Legal Assistant for our client located in Albany, NY. This is a FT Direct Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a quick typist, willing to learn and adapt using a transcription machine.
Duties & responsibilities
Will be responsible for heavy typing of various legal documents under very strict deadlines
Includes using a transcription machine with a headset and foot pedal
Will also have the shared responsibility of answering the phone and taking messages
Light Filing
Possibly be trained in the future on other office duties such as billing, calendar and depositions so they are available to step in to help cover if needed
Requirements
Will require a fast and accurate typist
Experience with this equipment is a plus, but it is not a requirement
Someone who can think quickly on their feet and is able to multitask without getting overwhelmed
A team player who can work independently without continuous direct supervision
Salary
$55k +/- (based on experience)
