Position: Virtual or Hybrid Legal Administrative Assistant. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor Position.
About Us:
We are a respected law firm committed to delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. As we embrace a hybrid work model, we are seeking a talented Administrative Assistant to join our team and contribute remotely or in-office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage email correspondence and respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Schedule appointments, client meetings, and court appearances for attorneys using Outlook Calendar. Familiarity with Legalmatch.com is a plus.
- Assist with document preparation, drafting, editing, and formatting legal documents. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive and Adobe PDF are required.
- Maintain and organize legal files, records, and databases with meticulous attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries or reports as required. General knowledge of Westlaw and/or LexisNexis is a plus.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and timekeeping tasks to ensure accurate client billing. Proficiency in Legal case management software like Clio and/or Practice Panther is a plus.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and staff members both remotely and in-office as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work both remotely and in-office as required.
