PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
American Healthcare Systems is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant with superb research and administrative skills. The successful person in this role will be expected to work well under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Legal Administrative Assistant should be proficient at multi-tasking, intuitive and excellent communicators with a keen interest in providing accurate and insightful support to lawyers and legal teams. Top candidates will be experts in key legal concepts with fantastic organizational skills, great IT skills and meticulous attention to detail.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to assist attorneys with ongoing needs.

Prepare and draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports as needed.

Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and records.

Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys.

Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and office supply management.

Liaise with clients and other parties as required.

Ensure confidentiality and security of all legal documents and communications.

Provide additional support to attorneys and the corporate office as needed.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Bachelors degree in law or paralegal certification or similar (essential).
- Two years of legal research experience.
- Two years of experience in drafting legal and business documents.
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Lexis-Nexis, PACER, Westlaw and other legal research sites.
