This posting establishes and maintains a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching graduate courses in the School Psychology Program in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver. By submitting your application, you will become part of an applicant pool. Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions. The teaching load for this lecturer position is a maximum of 2 courses per semester. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of the department and subject to budgetary approval. + Maintain availability for students via emailWe are currently recruiting for the following course: SPSY 6510 - Typical and Atypical Development and Mental Health and Wellbeing This is a face to face course on the CU Denver campus, in Spring 2025 or possibly in future semesters. This course is designed to introduce doctoral school psychology students to theories, research, and key social-cultural concepts in typical and atypical child and adolescent development (including Autism, ADHD, etc.) pertinent to the field of school psychology. The course includes an emphasis on exploring adversity and atypical developmental trajectories in a variety of cultural contexts and how these impact mental health and wellbeing, as well as functioning in educational settings.This position involves working closely with students where the person may become aware of campus safety issues that may need to be reported as part of CU's commitment to compliance with the Clery Act. The person in this role will receive the related training and be required to submit data once per year to the campus Clery Act team.
