This posting establishes a pool of candidates to fill non-tenure track lecturer positions to teach BIOE 4220: Choose Your Own Adventure: Experience in Design Innovation for the CU Pre-Health Scholars program, and as needed in the Bioengineering department on a part-time semester-by-semester basis for SY24/25. This position is paid on a per-course basis. Assignments are dependent upon student enrollments. There are no travel and relocation expenses available.

What you will do:
+ Teach one BIOE 4220: Choose Your Own Adventure: Experience in Design Innovation pre-collegiate course for the eleventh-grade scholars in the CU Pre-Health Scholars program.
+ The course will be taught in person on the following Saturdays, 9/7/2024, 10/19/2024 and 11/16/2024.
+ Prepare for each class session and deliver balanced, rigorous lessons in person in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes.
+ Hold weekly office hours as appropriate per course allocation.
+ Assess student progress according to curricular objectives and adhere to program policies.
+ Record attendance and grades online and be accessible for communication with students.
Minimum Qualifications
+ A Master of Science degree in bioengineering or a related field is required for teaching undergraduate level courses. A combination of a bachelor's degree and 5 years of directly related experience may be substituted for the master's degree.
+ A PhD degree in computer science or related fields is required for teaching graduate level courses. A combination of a master's degree and 5 years of related experience may be substituted for the PhD.
+ Experience in working with a diverse high school student population.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Candidates with research or industrial experience in a related discipline or teaching experience in a higher education environment are preferred.
+ Experience and accomplishments in active support of diversity and inclusiveness.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $3,000 - $5000 per 1 credit course .
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
