About this position:
Our Office of Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) provides a wide array of courses, an alternative teacher licensure program, certificates, endorsements, workshops and leadership training tailored to meet your professional development needs. The purpose of this posting is to expand our pool of Lecturers available to teach courses for CPE. Lecturers selected from this pool will become vital members of the School's innovative education programs. The School of Education & Human Development will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers for future appointments to temporary, part-time, non-tenure-track positions in Continuing and Professional Education (CPE). Lecturers are generally limited to two courses per term. This will be a semester-by-semester appointment, with the possibility of renewal. This temporary Lecturer pool is anticipated to remain continuously active through October 31, 2024-at that point, all applications will be cleared from the pool. You are welcome to reapply to the new posting after that date.
Teaching assignments may fluctuate and are contingent upon the schedule of courses offered each term, the required number of student enrollments in your tentatively scheduled course(s), and budget availability. Thus, we cannot guarantee that you will teach particular courses or that you will actually teach in a given term.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position has been established at $4, 900 , for a fully-enrolled 3-credit course.
The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for group health, life insurance, and retirement benefits.
As of January 1, 2021, Lecturer positions will accrue sick leave at a rate of 0.034 hours per hour worked with a maximum accrual of 48 hours per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
This will be a semester-by-semester appointment, with the possibility of renewal. If your appointment in this position continues, you will be notified in writing each term.
This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
