Synergy, a leading Boston commercial real estate firm, is experiencing exciting growth and seeks a Leasing Manager for a portfolio of commercial office properties in downtown Boston.
The Leasing Manager is responsible for developing tenant and business relationships and negotiating the marketing and leasing of commercial real estate properties for Synergy and their investment partners. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Leasing and works as a member of the Synergy team to ensure that all goals for the properties and portfolio are achieved.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Secure new and expanded leasing business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
Correspond with existing and prospective tenants in efforts to increase and maintain portfolio occupancy while providing pertinent information on leasing availability, current market conditions, drafting and negotiating leasing proposals as needed.
Accompany prospective tenants on property tours to introduce Synergy Investments and to garner knowledge on how Synergy or the property can best suit the tenant’s need for real estate. Compiles property data for investors, such as tenants in the market List, market, vacancy reports, average asking rents, availability and competitive property analysis and status updates on all leasing activity.
Review Request for Proposals (RFP) and draft responses in concert with landlord’s brokers.
Coordinate and review tenant fit plans with Synergy Construction Team and building architect to obtain estimated pricing. Gather and coordinate materials necessary for transactions such as listing agreements, commission agreements, leases and lease abstracts. Prepare leasing proposals for existing tenants as needed.
Work with legal team to review business points of new leases and amendments.
Collaborate with legal and asset management teams to review business aspects of contracts negotiated for new leases or renewals.
Maintain current knowledge of market conditions and in process transactions to provide scheduled leasing updates to Investment Partners.
Engage in local business community and charitable events, as well as industry and professional associations for the purpose of creating new contacts and generating new business.
Review and assist in creating Master Leasing Parameters for each property on an annual basis. Reviews potential adjustments as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent to appropriate 4-year college program 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial leasing.
MA Salesperson Real Estate License required. Highly refined written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to tenants, brokers and investors.
Familiarity with basic financial analysis, leasing and financial terms and principles.
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
Proven competency in decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Strong proficiency with VTS to market the buildings and provide real time leasing updates for the Synergy team and investment partners. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
