East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) is seeking for (2) regular full time Leasing Intake Specialist in Oakland, CA.
Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong customer service orientation to become a part of our team as a Leasing Intake Specialist. The role of the Leasing Intake Specialist is integral in the process of leasing apartments, delivering outstanding customer service to both current residents and potential tenants, and ensuring adherence to regulations related to affordable housing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Leasing Apartments:
- Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants promptly and professionally.
- Conduct property tours, highlight key features, and showcase available units.
- Process applications, conduct credit and background checks, and complete lease agreements.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and address their inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, fostering a sense of community and satisfaction.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants in alignment with property regulatory agreements.
- Assist with the revisions of affirmative marketing plans for specific sites within the portfolio.
- Attend local events and engage with community organizations to promote the property and increase occupancy.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations, including tax credit requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to leasing and resident files.
- Collects all relevant data to determine applicant eligibility
- Calculates estimated income during intake to ensure applicants meet minimum income requirements and do not exceed maximum income requirements
- Ensures applicant meets preference(s), if any
- Ensures applicant meets occupancy standards for unit
- Ensures applicant meets any other property- specific requirements
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining leasing office supplies.
- Prepare leasing reports and assist with financial paperwork as needed.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in affordable housing, property management, leasing, or customer service preferred.
- Familiarity with affordable housing programs and tax credit regulations is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
- Bilingual in Spanish (ability to read, speak and write) is preferred
- Experience with Yardi, preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range:
$46,800.00 - $58,639.00 annually
