Our customer is a commercial real estate firm and they are seeking a Leasing Consultant for mixed use properties.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25-27/hour
Position Overview:
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for promoting and leasing residential apartment homes to prospective residents. This role involves assisting prospective residents, conducting property tours, managing lease agreements, and maintaining resident satisfaction. The Leasing Consultant also supports marketing efforts and works closely with the General Manager to ensure high occupancy and smooth property operations. Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities of the Leasing Consultant:
- Handle inquiries from residents and potential residents
- Resolve resident complaints and concerns
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents
- Assist prospective residents in completing rental applications and lease agreements.
- Review rental applications and background checks
- Prepare lease documentation, explain lease terms, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with property marketing efforts
- Participate in promotional events
- Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up
- Process rent payments, deposits, and other financial transactions.
- Update lease status, vacancies, and other relevant data in leasing systems.
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
- Ensure all leasing processes and resident communications are compliant with fair housing laws and property regulations.
Qualifications of the Leasing Consultant:
- Prior experience in property management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and prospects.
- Effectively sell properties and close deals.
- Manage paperwork, resident requests, and lease agreements accurately.
- Address and resolve resident issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Strong time management skills to juggle multiple clients, properties, and administrative tasks.
- Microsoft Office Suite
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred.
