Lease Administrator, Accounting & Finance (Indianapolis)

The Lease Administrator will play a crucial role to ensure all leases entered into by Heartland are recorded and accurately reflected in the lease management software. In addition, this role will be a liaison between the multiple internal departments involved in the execution of lease agreements.
To give you an idea of team structure, you will work on a team in the Accounting & Finance
group, reporting into the Lease Administration & Accounting team.
Responsibilities:
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
• Management of real estate leases in Heartland’s rapidly expanding portfolio
• Record lease agreements and changes into lease management software
• Ensure timely payment of all lease obligations
• Review and reconcile monthly statements as received
• Determine and obtain the proper insurance coverage on all properties
• Assist in recording and collection of sublease income
• Manage landlord and property management updates
• Assist in the review and audit of CAM/NNN statements and determine appropriateness
• Provide customer service to our internal customers
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to better support our lease administration services
Minimum Requirements:
• Completion of one of the following:
o Associates degree and 4+ years relevant work experience
o Bachelor’s degree
• Intermediate experience in real estate (2+ years minimum)
• Detail oriented and process driven
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft products
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience with lease management software, specifically Lucernex
• Experience with Epicor or another large GL software
• Experience with retail leases
