Our Billing Co. is seeking a Learning and Development Supervisor to join our team!
The Learning and Development Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of revenue cycle training programs within the organization. This role involves working closely with the training coordinators, participants, and various departments to ensure effective training delivery and support employee development initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning, and has revenue cycle experience.
Essential Functions:
Leadership Team Functions:
- Acts as staff resource and role model for ethical, professional conduct.
- Monitors training programs and identifies areas in need of improvement.
- Leads training coordinators and specialists, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Participates in the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training processes of training coordinators.
- Delegates duties and projects to appropriate staff, and monitors for accurate and prompt completion.
- Stays apprised of all relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies and third- party payers.
- Stays apprised of changing healthcare trends and leverages technology and automation to develop and deliver new products and services to customers.
- Demonstrates knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and actively maintains a safe and positive work environment.
- Carries out other assignments or special projects as required.
Role Specific Functions:
- Assists in assessing training needs and the development of training programs.
- Helps design engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, workshops and resources.
- Assists with logistics coordination for training sessions, including venue selection, materials preparation, and participant registration.
- Supports training coordinators by preparing training materials and setting up necessary equipment.
- Facilitates small group activities or discussions during training as needed.
- Collects and analyzes participant feedback to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Assists in preparing reports on training outcomes and metrics.
- Stays current with industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Recommends enhancements to training programs based on participant feedback and evaluation results.
- Maintains records of training activities, attendance, and evaluations.
- Assists in managing the training budget and tracking related expenses.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Work Experience
- 3+ years of experience in training coordination, human resources, revenue cycle, or a similar role is required.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design is a plus.
Certifications
- Relevant certifications in training and development (e.g., ATD, CPTD) are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of hospital and professional revenue cycle processes and related regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform training strategies.
- Skilled in synthesizing a wealth of information.
- Exemplary problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Exhibits excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
- Communicates effectively both one-on-one and in a group setting.
- Capable of following and providing detailed instructions both orally and through written communication.
- Extensive experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project).
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS).

Pay Range: $28.85 to $40.85 per hour
Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to market data, education, experience, qualifications, and expertise of the individual and internal equity considerations.
