The Medical & Scientific Community Learning & Development (L&D) Team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented contractor to provide support to MSC Therapeutic Area L&D leads in the migration of training assets, lessons, and learning paths from our local learning digital learning platform to an enterprise Learning Ecosystem, including Content Management System (LCMS) and Learning Management System (LMS), specifically utilizing Xyleme and EdCast. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless migration of educational materials, supporting & upskilling of L&D leaders, and enhancing the learning experience for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnering with members of the MSC L&D Leads and Transformation Team (MSC Digital Lead, IT, Project Manager, and Learning team, etc.) to ensure effective planning for and executing on all successful transformation element, including but not limited:
Content Migration:
- Execute the transfer of learning assets, including e-learning modules, videos, documents, and other educational materials from the current digital learning platform to the enterprise learning ecosystem
- Ensure that all content is accurately migrated, maintaining structural integrity and adherence to established quality standards.
Migration Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with MSC L&D leads to execute on a comprehensive migration strategy, ensuring all assets are identified and prioritized based on relevance and usage.
- Conduct a thorough assessment of current content on the current digital learning platform to determine the format, structure, and compatibility with Xyleme and EdCast.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control checks throughout the migration process to ensure accurate representation of original content.
- Validate learning paths and user accessibility features post-migration to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Identify MSC critical uses cases to be tested prior to go-live.
- Troubleshoot and escalate issues as appropriate.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Provide regular updates on migration progress, timelines, and any challenges encountered during the process.
- Attend key planning meeting to shape solutions and outcomes.
Training and Support:
- Upskill on the new Learn Technologies (EdCast, Xyleme, Reporting, etc.)
- Provide guidance and support to L&D leads and other stakeholders on best practices for using the new LCMS and LMS platforms.
- Assist in creating training materials and sessions for end-users to optimize the effective use of migrated content.
- Shape the training plans for how future admins will be upskilled in the new platforms.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, including inventories of migrated content and rationale for any content deemed unnecessary for transfer.
- Prepare and deliver reports on migration metrics, timelines, and effectiveness to stakeholders as required.
- Document ways of working and/or examples that are unique to MSC teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in content management/migration and project management, with a track record of successfully delivering large scale projects on-time and within budget
- Proven experience with LCMS/LMS platforms, particularly Xyleme and EdCast, is highly desirable.
Skills:
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders
Able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization at all levels.
Expertise in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and data analysis tools.
Proficiency with database management and structuring data for migration processes.
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency is required.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience in Transformation and Platform migration.
Familiarity with content migration processes and tools.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to LCMS/LXP systems.
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $70.00 but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
