About the Job
The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development efforts enhancing the knowledge and skills of the sales and corporate teams for Aesthetics US. This role will design, develop, and implement sales readiness programs; facilitate training programs; and provide coaching to the sales teams to support goals and objective attainment. The Learning & Development Manager will also be responsible for developing and conducting corporate training sessions and assessments for the corporate teams.
Responsibilities
Sales Readiness Facilitation
- Facilitate Aesthetics Sales Readiness programs to best meet the needs of the organization.
- Work with marketing, legal/regulatory, compliance, sales management, and other departments to create and produce specific training programs, content, and materials to support portfolio onboarding.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the sales readiness programs to ensure that all objectives are met.
Sales Curriculum Design
- Develop new training courses associated with the introduction of new products, marketing initiatives, launches, or services.
- Design and produce training materials, including digital media, for sales representatives to enhance their knowledge of new products and services.
- Ensure that training content is aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Project Management
- Facilitate and coordinate projects to generate sales readiness programs utilizing new technologies to enhance learning while maximizing sales representative time in the field.
- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies and processes to improve the sales team's performance.
Sales Meetings
- Develop and facilitate the training activities for key sales management and sales force meetings.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales communications, field management, and other key areas of the company to facilitate the planning, preparation, and rollout of the training workshops.
- Organize materials and schedules speakers for sales meetings and events.
Corporate L&D
- Work with corporate L&D function to identify training needs across the organization and develop training programs to meet those needs.
- Manage and deliver training programs across the organization.
- Partner with Global L&D to implement strategic priorities per fiscal year.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external training providers, as needed.
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of corporate L&D programs and report on performance to senior leadership.
Presentation Skills
- Present established and effective sales readiness methods, techniques, and ideas that incorporate the sales and educational strategies to support the product portfolio.
- Deliver training and coaching with strong presentation skills and dynamic storytelling techniques to engage and educate the sales and corporate teams.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing, Field Sales, Sales Enablement, and affiliates to share best practices and/or tools.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs that support the objectives of the organization.
Other duties as assigned
- Conduct quarterly field audits to ensure the effectiveness of sales enablement training.
- Analyze and evaluate data to determine the effectiveness of training programs.
- Develop and deliver ongoing training and support materials to continually build the skillset of the sales team.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree
- Minimum 3-5 years of Training, Operational Sales and Sales Management experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading broad-based, cross-functional training efforts in Pharmaceutical / Biotech organization.
- Experience within Aesthetics Sales or Pharmaceuticals.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite of Applications.
- Experience working with LMS systems and e-learning.
- Understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles.
- Strong experience in developing and delivering training programs and materials.
