Position Summary
-Now hiring Hawker 125 series/800A/800XP/750XP/850XP/900XP experienced Leadman/ Inspector for AVMATS Jet Support location at Spirit of St Louis Airport, Chesterfield, MO.
-Airframe and Powerplant License issued under part 65 of the Federal Aviation Regulations required.
-Candidate must posses skills and knowledge to lead a team of technicians in the performance of scheduled maintenance and inspections, repairs and modifications on all types of Hawker aircraft. Additional aircraft model experience a plus.
-Opening available for day shift position, 6:45 am - 3:15 pm Monday thru Friday, overtime as needed.
-Position is a "working lead technician" which will include instructing and directing crews of technicians assigned. Leadman will report directly to Shop Manager or Chief Inspector.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Applicant must have working knowledge of aircraft and engine systems applicable to position applied for. Performance of aviation technician functions including inspection, repair, engine run, taxi, system checkout and return to service a must.
Applicants should include a summary of their training history.
Completion of all Inspection Forms, FAA Form 337, Maintenance Releases and Log Entries related to this work, are the responsibility of this position. Records will be completed and processed through the Inspection Department.
Check airworthiness of components, parts in process of manufacture, overhaul, repair or alteration, and if delegated by the Chief Inspector, the release to service of the complete aircraft.
Check conformance with approved drawings or approved data.
Keep current on regulations and all technical data for work assigned.
Assist the Chief Inspector in completing their duties, and advise them of unairworthy conditions, or procedures contrary to this Repair Station Manual or the Quality Control System and Procedures Manual.
Responsible to assure all parts received from stock have a proper maintenance release tag, or in the case of shelf-life materials, that the items are not outdated.
Assure that the calibration of all inspection aids and test equipment used are up to date.
Familiarization with the content and procedures of Repair Station manual, and will determine that all personnel under their leading influence are aware of and follow the procedures as set forth by these manuals.
See that all necessary safety precautions are followed around the aircraft and all work areas to prevent the possibility of any accident or injuries.
Notify the appropriate Shop Manager in the event of unsafe condition or safety hazards.
Skills/Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
3+ years of work related experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Able to pass a standard FAA visual acuity test with vision corrected to 20/20.
Familiar with the applicable regulations and with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools used to determine airworthiness of the article on which work is being performed.
Proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual. As well as utilize power tools and other tooling devices.
Possesses quality focus and documentation skills.
Be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands/arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
May require lifting and/or moving up at least 50 pounds or more.
