About the Job
The Leader-in-Training position is a transitory position that is the first step in external leadership development at Chick-Fil-A Fort Pierce. This position will allow an applicant to learn how to supervise shifts and team members. This position develops directly into a Team Leader position. These Team Leaders are responsible for assisting the shift leader in their day-to-day tasks to consistently provide remarkable experiences for each guest. This position focuses on the daily operation of the restaurant through effective leadership and management of staff, food safety and quality, and cleanliness. The structure of this position includes 4 to 6 months of on-the-job training as a team member before moving into a leadership role. This position will require you to be a team member, learn about the leadership culture we create here at Chick-Fil-A, attend leadership workshops, and develop the skills necessary to run operations to optimization.

Expectations
Operational Management:
- Hands-on leadership for the kitchen production system
- Run specific areas or parts of the shift
- Operate with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ensure production systems are running effectively
- Create value for guests by ensuring the product is cooked and served to the recipe and in a food-safe manner
- Create setups, run breaks, and make operational decisions that are made to benefit the business
- Be highly effective in position
- Oversee and guarantee the legitimacy of all operational checklists
- Required to be available to fill the role of Manager on Duty if he/she is called upon to open or close the store
Personnel Management:
- Maximize staff productivity through strategic placement
- Elevate the team through leadership, focusing on encouragement and accountability for Team Members
- Develop subordinate leadership through delegation of tasks and opportunities
- Be a cornerstone for promoting a culture of inclusivity in the business
- Instill the vision, purpose and values in every action taken
- Assisting with new Team Member training when needed
- Consistently coaching the team to operational excellence standards
Area of Responsibility:
- Take on additional responsibility in the stewardship of the store
- Oversee a quarterly or yearly project or system assigned by Senior Leadership
- Take ownership of areas that need support or further development
Requirements:
- Required to be available 40 hours a week
- Preferred minimum of 6 months with previous management experience
- Ability to work in a quick-service environment
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to serve others
