Position: Lead Tool and Die Designer (Forging/Steel)

Reports to: Plant Manager

Shift: 1st 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Lead Tool and Die Designer Responsibilities:

• Working, hands-on position

• Design and develop dies and fixtures for production

• Schedule and oversee production of Tool and Die makers/designers

• Monitor efficiency of Tool and Die makers/designers

• Establish benchmarks and goals for the department

• Ensure schedules are met

Lead Tool and Die Designer Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience in a design/engineering role required.

• 3-5 years experience in a lead or supervisor role is highly desired.

• Experience in steel, forging, or stamping preferred

• Blueprint reading required.

• Proficient in CAD/CAM and Solidworks required

• Machining and CNC programming background required

Reporting Relationships:

In this position, you will report to the Plant Manager providing regular updates and insights.
