Work arrangement:

- The Lead Test Engineer will provide testing expertise to conduct testing on the lab-based system, including component-level testing, full-scale testing of the integrated system, and regression testing.
- 6 years of experience testing on hardware and software
- Must be able to create and develop test plans
- Provide testing expertise to develop test plans and document results for component level testing, full-scale testing of the integrated system, and regression testing.
- Provide engineering expertise to integrate physical components such as computer hardware, networking hardware, software defined radios, software, user terminals, and ancillary equipment into a single cohesive lab-based system.
- Work under the minimal technical supervision of experienced senior personnel for daily and weekly tasks.
- Develop and execute test scripts and scenarios to evaluate the functionality of systems.
- Create test data to validate functional and technical requirements.
- Review requirements to ensure that tests will satisfy specifications.
- Interact with engineering to analyze and perform tests for systems.
- Participate in project reviews.
- Collect data and analyze patterns.
- Provide documentation and regular progress reports for test cases.
- Perform new tests when field data failures or other problems arise.
- May train, oversee, and provide tasks to junior test engineers.
- May be responsible for evaluating performance of junior staff and/or subordinates.
- May assist in the selection, training, and development of staff. May lead and direct limited tasks assigned to junior personnel.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline.
- Six (6)+ years of professional experience working as a test analyst, systems engineer, test engineer, or similar.
- Three (3)+ years of full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment.
- Experience with engineering requirements analysis, creation of test plans and procedures, and conducting test events.
- Proficient knowledge of programming languages and of testing methodologies and best practices.
- Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree depending on domain experience and contractual requirements.
