About the Job
As a Lead Technical Program Manager in our Global Real-Time Payments team, you will drive the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that will help reaching business goals across the firm. This role requires strong experience in complex ecosystems including managing a mosaic of dependencies- as well as a keen ability to establish priorities, manage resources, budgets, and build and incentivize high-performing teams. You'll work closely with colleagues across the globe to deliver innovative and sophisticated solutions in the Cross-Currency Payments space.
Graphite is the firm's strategic payment platform for high and low value payments. The role within the Graphite group is to support the FX Payment Portfolio. Working with our Graphite technology component teams, you'll lead and organize the component book of work ensuring the backlog is refined in line with product and portfolio priorities and manage the execution leveraging Agile best practices.
Job responsibilities
- Organize the component delivery backlog in line with portfolio and project priorities
- Manage Projects Software Development Lifecycle by leading and collaborating closely with various groups (e.g. Product, Ops, UAT, Application Development, Architects, Compliance)
- Build clear and realistic Project Plans to support all phases of the execution
- Provide leadership updates throughout the Project execution to deliver on-time, on-budget quality solutions.
- Proactively Identify and manage dependencies within and between component delivery teams
- Partner with component team members to ensure stories are refined in line with priorities and ensure that only sufficiently refined stories are accepted for development
- Ensure key Agile SCRUM ceremonies are executed including sprint planning, backlog refinement sprint reviews
- Be commercially aware and mindful of the business value of everything we do.
- Demonstrate a self-motivated mindset to learn the Business as well as the Technology
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- Experience working with ambiguity and complex technical program execution
- Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile delivery approaches; stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm
- An effective communicator with technical audiences. Able to present complex technical concepts for tech and non-tech stakeholders in person and via status reports at all levels of seniority
- Ability to extract meaningful data and metrics from the development process to enable continuous improvement e.g. through use of Jira and other tools
- Ability to work independently, own issues to resolution and be self-motivated to achieve the best results for clients
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Influencing Skills - a proven ability as an effective and compelling communicator in both meeting room and large audience settings. Take complex and controversial subjects, bring clarity and ultimately drive to decisions. One who operates in a highly collaborative, yet decisive and results-oriented manner
- Technical BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years minimum of professional experience required leading Technology teams with strong organizational skills
- Preferred - Experience in Banking
