Applicant will be responsible for supporting infrastructure in SCCM 2007 R2 and SCCM 2012 R2 environments. The candidate must pose a superior knowledge as well as be able to demonstrate their technical proficiency in Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 and 2012 with experience in managing medium to large environments. The candidate must have a solid understanding of standard Windows Client/Server, networking, and troubleshooting fundamentals. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot all aspects of SCCM effectively and understand the product flow of patch management, software distribution, logging in detail and infrastructure components.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform installation, maintenance and support of system software, hardware and infrastructure and user support for moderately complex projects. May oversee this effort if acting in team lead capacity. Perform engineering and roll-out implementations. Perform configuration, debugging and support for infrastructure platform for moderately complex projects. Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures. Provide technical direction to System and Associate Engineers, Operations Specialists, and contractors. Interface with Business Stakeholders on all applicable projects. Update manager on all escalated issues. Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills
Minimum of 3-4 years' experience administering Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.
- Solid understanding of all System Center Operations Manager infrastructure components
- Moderate to advanced management pack authoring proficiencies: designing, configuring, deploying, trouble shooting, customizing and providing peer review
- WBEM technology and platform performance modeling (counter/objects)
- SQL database technology as it relates to System Center Operations Manager (i.e. SQL Server Reporting Services, Data Warehouse vs Operations Manager DB.)
- Authoring moderate to complex Structured Query Language (SQL) statements with respect to SCOM relational databases.
- Moderate SCOM PowerShell commandlet experience
- Perform debugging and support for multiple infrastructure platforms on moderately complex projects.
- Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management.
- Perform Store & Store Support Center engineering and roll-out implementations.
- Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS and SSH
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies
- Ability to recognize potential problem areas and provide advice and direction on the use of technology tools and problem solving processes
- Knowledge of Windows server, Windows client and Unix\Linux server operating system architecture
- Familiar with many of the most common SCOM management packs designed by Microsoft to monitor Microsoft applications.
- Effectively working directly with Microsoft's support organization to improve SCOM and perform root cause analysis for technical issues
