We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Superintendent to join our team. This role is specifically targeted towards the construction and maintenance of low-income housing, particularly garden-style apartments. As the Lead Superintendent, you will be the driving force behind our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for the overall on-site management of construction projects, starting from initial planning to completion. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Superintendent to join our team. This role is specifically targeted towards the construction and maintenance of low-income housing, particularly garden-style apartments. As the Lead Superintendent, you will be the driving force behind our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for the overall on-site management of construction projects, starting from initial planning to completion. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Review the work progress on a daily basis.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven working experience in construction management of low-income housing, particularly garden-style apartments.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Strong leadership and human resources management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Ability to handle a high-pressure environment with significant timeline pressures.
