Hourly:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Base hourly pay range: $17.00 - $20.07 per hour
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following: other duties may be assigned:
- Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
- Assist in training Rocker employees, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Assist with daily open/close procedures according to company policy and procedures
- Contribute and ensure the completion of day-to-day operational tasks.
- Present menus, explain how various menu items are prepared, and describe ingredients and cooking methods. In depth knowledge of menu items.
- Inform customers of daily specials.
- Verify patrons' identification to ensure compliance with legal age requirements for alcoholic beverages.
- Properly open and pour wine at tableside
- Place order using POS system. Communicate with kitchen of special needs or if a menu item is not available
- Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Clear tables, deposit plates and utensils in bus tubs, dispose trash and wipe tables clean
- Assist food runners as needed. Carry food orders from kitchen to customers, fill drink orders, fill customer requests.
- Support floor management by assessing and adjusting staffing levels to align with guest volume.
- Communicate serviceware and product needs for FOH items.
- Assess staff performance and provide feedback to management.
- Support service staff by being approachable, answering questions, assisting with guest service, and providing any additional help needed to ensure every guest receives exceptional service.

Required:
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with others
- Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness
- Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards
- Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
- Work well as part of a team.
- Able to remain patient, calm and composed in a fast paced, high volume demanding environment.
Preferred:
- Knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu, restaurant and Palisades Tahoe or be able to locate information.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years serving experience
- Must have or be able to obtain a California Food Handlers card.
Preferred:
- One-year supervisory experience
