Overview:
Efficiently and effectively applies Quality Assurance and Testing processes, to ensure that Quarterhills solutions are delivered meeting customer requirements and satisfaction. Responsible for all phases of the planning and execution of hardware and software tests required through the delivery lifecycle of a tolling system, including, and not limited to pre-Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), FAT, Integration Testing, Operational Testing, Commissioning/Site Acceptance Testing and/or Final Systems Testing (among others). Provide input and support for project risk management activities related to system testing and validation. This position will work under the supervision and direction of the Quality Manager with additional project related input and direction from each Project Manager supported. Position located in Frisco, Texas.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Serves as the primary contact for testing activities.
- Gathers information from technical and non-technical teams in order to create test cases that meet all Project and/or Operational requirements.
- Creates and/or modifies testing documentation including test scripts, test plans, vehicle matrix, reports and proposals.
- Maps requirements to testing phases and/or documentation.
- Works and maintains efficient communication with quality assurance, engineering, software development and project management teams to ensure all testing activities are performed on time and meet project requirements and needs.
- In coordination with QA and Project Management coordinates, leads, and manages test teams onsite and/or remotely to ensure all testing activities are executed and have needed resources to meet contractual requirements.
- Works closely with QA and Project management to develop and coordinate system test concepts and objectives and identifies test resources required.
- Performs procedure validations, software builds, and test administration, including system-level test planning and implementation.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of testing environments.
- Maintains the test requirements database.
- Use appropriate measures and KPIs to validate quality.
- Prepares test status reports and presents status to management and customers.
- Interface with both internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to engineering, program management, quality, finance, business development, services, sub-contractors, end users and customers.
- Interfaces with the QA organization to perform any corrective actions resulting from reviews and audits.
- Keeps up to date with new Tolling systems and QA/Test procedures and techniques
- Prepares presentation material and leads Test Readiness Reviews.
- Performs other QA Test duties as required to meet contractual requirements
- Supports QA Test proposal documentation activities as needed

Qualifications:
Competencies

- Technical Testing documentation experience
- Ability to analyze and test complex software and hardware systems
- Able to prioritize and manage workload of self and team
- Able to travel up to 50% domestically is required to perform on-site testing
- Flexibility to work, daytime, nighttime and weekends to meet project needs.
- Interacts with senior internal and external teams, providing assistance for consultation on complex projects.
Required Education and Experience
- Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of related experience
- Experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and test-driven development
- Experience with XML, Databases and SQL
- Experience in creating, analyzing, documenting, and testing system and subsystem designs
- Experience working in an Agile environment desired
- Must be able to work under rigorous project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints
- Nice to Have: Experience with testing related to the tolling area of the transportation industry
