Intertek is searching for a Lead QA/QC Supervisor to join our Asset Integrity Management (AIM)team to work at a client facility in Houston, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Asset Integrity Management!
The Lead QA/QC Supervisor is the representative of the project and has the responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system. .
What you'll do:
- Responsible for supervising mechanical QC personnel
- Responsible for inspecting and reviewing all shop fabrication and NDE documentation; verification that it meets client requirements
- Ensure that approved scope items are accurately reflected in the turnaround job packages
- Responsible for for review and assembly of mechanical work packages, ensuring the right WPS and client specifications were in the job packages
- The preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions
- Control and the distribution of all the companies quality documentation
- Monitor all quality related activities on the project
- Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the companies management
- Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.
- Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders.
- Attend client quality management meetings
- The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
- Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
- Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
- Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site QC manager
- Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site QA/QC procurement manager
- Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customers representatives.
- Monitor statistical method reporting.
- Action and close all quality complaints
- Control all achieve documentation upon the completion of the project.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- Must have H.S. degree or equivalent
- Minimum of seven (7) years' experience with the fabrication and/or inspection of structural steel materials/components
- API certification (API 510/570) certification required- additional certifications a plus
- Valid TWIC Card
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
- Must be knowledgeable in midstream/gas plant/NGL type equipment.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft software, and various IDMS platforms. ACAD experience is a plus.
- Be familiar with/able to interpret and understand the following related to multi-discipline construction projects: ~ National codes and standards ~ Specifications, drawings, and data sheets
- Be fit for duty.
