Please speak to the Talent Acquisition team to find out more information.What does a Lead QA Engineer do at Hogarth?We are looking for an exceptional and self-motivated Lead QA Engineer to support several exciting projects in Sunnyvale, CA.
You will own the quality and testing efforts of the team to ensure completion of the quality assurance deliverables, adherence to quality and development processes, and drive on-time project releases.
You will play a crucial role in the delivery of high quality projects meeting our client’s needs.
You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects in a fast paced environmentResponsibilitiesLead a team of QA engineers and SDETs, driving quality initiatives, establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are metParticipate in all aspects of QA product lifecycle: scoping, strategizing, test case creation and execution including feature, regression, integration, and end-to-end testingReview technical requirements, author detailed test plan, and test case documentationIdentify, isolate and replicate software defects, research root causes, debug issues, and propose regression tests to discover reoccurrencesCoach, lead and mentor junior/new team members and coordinate internal knowledge sharing sessionsEnsure that validated deliverables meet functional, design specifications, and requirementEscalate any QA issues to cross-functional teams and push for a suitable resolution in a timely mannerConstantly seek opportunities to improve our quality and testing approachPromoting QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practicesReport and drive increased test automation coverage in all areasAbility to handle multiple projects and adapt to priority changes in a fast paced environmentLead the overall QA Activities, plan and assign tasks to the team to meet project deadlinesCollaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Content Managers and Release Engineers to deliver projects on-time, ensuring the highest product quality standardsParticipate in interviews, hiring, and on-boarding of new hiresRequirements6+ years of experience testing both web and mobile applications2+ years of experience in leading quality engineering teams, in a highly hands-on roleSolid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processesHands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, implementing and maintaining quality test automation.Coding experience with object oriented programming languages, preferably JavaScriptExperience with automation scripts using tools like, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Protractor, Mocha, Jasmine, TestNGGood understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, JSON and REST APIsGood understanding of modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, React, AngularExperience with databases, API, backend systems, and mobile testing (iOS/Android)Experience with GitLab and continuous integration build system such as JenkinsAbility to lead QA teams and mentor junior team membersAbility to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve resultsAbility to articulate vision and manage deliverablesBachelors in Computer Science or equivalentExcellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation with a dynamic attitudeThe base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
