Title and Summary Lead - Product Manager Technical Overview Job Title Lead, Product Management - Technical Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Manager to lead the development of cutting-edge AI/GenAI-based platforms and products. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, a deep understanding of emerging AI/GenAI concepts, and a proven track record in SaaS product development and machine learning. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the senior leadership to define and communicate the product vision and strategy for AI/GenAI-based platforms/tools, ensuring alignment with business goals and Mastercard needs. • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements with precise acceptance criteria based on user feedback, market trends, and technical feasibility. • Efficiently manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-organized, prioritized, and aligned with the product roadmap. Partner with the scrum master and the team by participating in various scrum events like the daily standups, ensuring teams understand the priority and value being delivered. • Provide technical guidance and insights, leveraging your machine learning and software engineering background to drive innovation and solve complex problems. • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product decisions and maintain a competitive edge. • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications: • Around 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering and product management with a focus on SaaS product development and machine learning. • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, particularly in building AI/ML-based products. • Deep understanding of generative AI technologies and their applications in the software development space. • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions. • Demonstrated experience in managing product backlogs, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring alignment with product goals. • Strong experience with Agile Scrum practices and ceremonies. • Proficiency in writing detailed user stories and defining acceptance criteria. • Ability to effectively showcase products through demos and presentations. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or a related field. All about you • Strong track record of successful delivery of product features from design, development, deployment, and customer integration with experience launching high-quality products in the payments industry. • Understands and can explain the business context and the associated Customer and end-user pain points as well as the use cases, bringing this to life for scrum teams. • Experience with Lean product management principles and practices and preferably with Mastercard’s Studio process. Can deliver high quality technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly. • Experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.), CI/CD and modern DevOps based PDLC and SDLC. • Proficient at grooming user stories, features, and epics, setting entrance/exit criteria and prioritizing a product backlog. • Data driven – ability to define measurable and SMART leading and lagging metrics for all backlog items to enable decisions and priority. • Constantly learning, seeking out technical knowledge and educating the entire organization about trends, technologies, and approaches • Takes the time to fully learn the functionality, architecture, dependencies, and runtime properties of the systems supporting the products. • Highly structured and organized with the ability to plan work to maximize the team's productivity and effectiveness.
