Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our innovative Research and Development (R&D) team. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to design, develop, and scale food and beverage processes from concept to commercialization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, optimize production, and ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

This role will be based out of our Concord, MA headquarters where you will be immersed in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.
Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.

What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and development of innovative food and beverage processing technologies to meet R&D and business goals.
- Scale lab-based processes to pilot and full-scale production, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges to enhance process performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and operations, to align processes with organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and sustainability improvements.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including flow diagrams, operating procedures, and validation protocols.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in food and beverage processing, process development, and commercialization.
- Expertise in thermal processing, aseptic systems, or similar technologies. Preferred experience in beverage and juice processing, though not required.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across all levels.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for food safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Availability to travel up to 25%
