Responsibilities:

Network Architecture and Strategy:
- Lead the development of network architecture, strategies, and roadmaps to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Define standards and best practices for network design, configuration, and operations.

Network Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement complex network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, to meet business requirements and performance objectives.
- Oversee the implementation and deployment of network infrastructure, ensuring adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and security policies.

Network Optimization and Performance Management:
- Optimize network performance, reliability, and scalability through proactive monitoring, analysis, and tuning.
- Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure sufficient network resources to support current and future business needs.

Network Security and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against security threats, vulnerabilities, and cyber attacks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to network security and data privacy.

Troubleshooting and Resolution:
- Provide expert-level support for escalated network-related issues and outages, diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems in a timely manner.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of network issues.

Vendor Management and Collaboration:
- Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers, evaluating products and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security analysts, and application developers, to support IT initiatives and projects.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions, documentation updates, and collaboration.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent are required.

Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering roles, with a demonstrated track record of designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level network infrastructures.

Technical Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.
- Extensive experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and Aruba wireless controllers.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime.
