Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Plumber to join our team. The Lead Plumber will be responsible for overseeing the plumbing installation work on our modular commercial buildings, ensuring that all work is carried out to code and in line with project specifications. This role involves both hands-on plumbing work and supervising other plumbers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute the installation of all plumbing systems in modular commercial units, including water supply, drainage, venting and other relevant systems.
• Lead and coordinate a team of plumbers and apprentices, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with building codes and project timelines.
• Inspect all completed work to ensure that it meets industry standards, safety protocols, and plumbing codes. Address any deficiencies promptly.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems as needed, diagnosing issues and providing effective solutions.
• Manage inventory, ensuring that all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available for the team. Order supplies as needed to avoid project delays.
• Ensuring all team members are following proper procedures to prevent accidents.
• Work closely with other trades (HVAC, electrical, etc.) and project management to ensure coordinated efforts on modular installation and that plumbing systems integrate properly with other building systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, inspections, and any changes to plumbing designs or plans.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Previous experience working on a modular or prefabricated building projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, including water, gas and waste systems.
• Strong understanding and reading blueprints.
