Lead Pharmacy Technician - Narcotics - PharmScript, LLC

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Lead Pharmacy Technician-Narcotics to join our PharmScript team within our Floor Technician department. In this role, you’ll assist the Pharmacist with labeling, filling, preparing, compounding, dispensing, organizing, quality and inventory.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and is an effective communicator. They are always a team player, eager to jump in where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and needs of customers.

Responsibilities:

•Assisting the Pharmacist with labeling/filling prescriptions
•Accurately preparing prescriptions under the Pharmacist’s supervision
•Compounding medications (Creams/Ointments/Suspensions)
•Oversee daily functions while assisting Pharmacy Technician Supervisor
•Packaging Rx labels using Frameworks system
•Packaging medications in bottles or bingo cards for dispensing and for delivery
•Organizing the pharmacy shelves (Drugs, supplies, etc.)
•Removing out of date items from inventory/shelves

Qualifications:

•High school degree or GED is required
•Able to work independently as well as in a diverse, team environment
•Able to stand on feet for 8 hours
•Pharmacy Technician educational course work preferred
•Reliable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor
•Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician in applicable state in Good Standing
•year or more of Long-Term Care or Retail pharmacy experience preferred but not necessary

• May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
• May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
• May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
