Job Summary: Mid-level/Senior Automation Engineer (Performance Engineering Emphasis)
Must Haves:
- Proficient in JavaScript scripting
- Strong experience in PowerShell scripting
- Advanced knowledge of API automation using JMeter
- Advanced SQL and PostgreSQL skills
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Optional: C# development experience
Essential Functions:
- Deeply integrate software development expertise with a focus on performance engineering
- Develop and execute performance testing strategies across all products
- Assess feasibility, provide accurate estimates, and oversee performance testing assignments
- Design and evolve performance testing frameworks for various platforms and APIs
- Ensure alignment of systems with established performance guidelines
- Lead performance test case reviews and ensure proper coverage
- Collaborate closely with Scrum teams to monitor and enhance product performance
- Produce status reports and quality metrics for performance-related activities
- Review source code, debug, isolate problems, and verify fixes
Methodology:
- Demonstrate expertise in performance testing standards, processes, and procedures
- Adhere to established methodologies and best practices
- Select and configure appropriate toolsets for performance engineering
- Collaborate with product owners and discipline leads to develop operational metrics and reporting frameworks
Team Support/Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Lead, advise, and mentor performance engineering team members
- Assess and prioritize performance testing efforts
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and oversee issue resolution
- Communicate transparently and escalate when necessary
- Contribute to recruiting and career development efforts
- Support Company Mission, Strategy, and Values
- Contribute to the growth and maturity of the Performance Engineering Department

Skills/Competencies:
- 7+ years of experience with scripting/programming languages
- 7+ years of Load and Performance testing experience
- Proficiency in UI Test automation and API testing
- Expertise in SQL programming and test strategy
- Experience with source code management tools and reporting tools
- Familiarity with Mobile Testing and Cloud platforms
Education or Prior Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field with 10 years of industry experience
- 10 years of software testing experience with a successful track record
- 10 years of hands-on experience in performance engineering in an n-tier environment, delivering scalable solutions
- Strong understanding of Azure/Cloud platforms and services (Desired)

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
