About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
- Experience with data centers and security technologies and products. Experience with designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting networks and security systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale network design.
- Knowledge of as many of the following cloud networking technologies/protocols: IS-IS, VXLAN, BGP, EVPN, Network Virtualization.
- Knowledge of one of the following: Python or Go.
- Proficiency with Linux networking functionalities.

The Google VMware Engine service enables customers running on-premises VMware workloads to seamlessly migrate to Google Cloud without having to re-architect or refactor their applications. In this role, you will leverage the value of the existing VMware investments while maintaining operational continuity and avoiding data center management, hardware refreshes, and procurement cycles.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute cloud capacity additions and streamline the process working across cloud teams.
- Monitor and manage Google Cloud networking capacity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer networking issues.
- Scale systems sustainably through Google tools and automation, and evolve systems by driving change that improves reliability and velocity.
