Lead Medical Assistant/Surgical Coordinator - ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida

We are currently seeking a seasoned medical office lead, for a full-time, Monday - Friday clinical/clerical position for our Miami offices. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.

Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant/Surgical Coordinator who is multitasking oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of patients, phone calls, and assist the Physician and office workflows. Must be a self-starter, have EMR, medical assistant, surgical coordinating medical check in and check out experience and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Audiology field.

Responsibilities:

• Providing superior customer service to all patients and guests
• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
• Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
• Schedule follow up appointments.
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
• Assist in exam room with procedures.
• Surgical Scheduling

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year previous experience in a medical office position.
• Medical Assistant experience
• Surgical Coordinator
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
• The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients.
• The ability to work in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• The ability to lead a team
• Strong computer literacy.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Physical Demands: Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the physician and manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between the ENTAAF Miami offices for support purposes. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
