Lead Medical Assistant - Integrated Dermatology of Clinton

Our busy dermatology practice is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant with supervisory skills, and dermatology experience to train and supervise staff, support 3 providers and 4 MAs in addition to having an understanding of biologics and prior auths. Looking for someone who is organized, loves to find ways to improve systems and has strong comfort level with EMR, PMS and general computer skills. Knowledge of supply ordering a plus as well as experience with a few basic aesthetic procedures such as Botox and fillers.

Duties:

• Room patients, obtain medical history and chief complaints in EMR system
• Document allergies, medications, and obtain informed consent forms from patients
• Scribe for and assist providers during exams and procedures
• Assist in skin cancer surgeries, medical and cosmetic procedures
• Prescription management
• Patient follow-up with call backs on pathology results
• Schedule excision appointments
• Prior Authorizations and Biologic experience required
• Clean and restock exam rooms; assist with inventory
• Oversees maintenance of untreated cancer log
• Assist with administrative duties such as managing the multi-line phone systems, answering patients’ questions, scheduling appointments

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years experience as a Medical Assistant is required
• EMR experience is required
• Dermatology experience is required
• Supervisor experience is highly preferred

Job Type:

• Full-Time Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant certification is required

Pay:

• Pay starts at $25.00 per hour and increases with years of experience
